North Africa's largest leaderboard

Morocco isn't just one of the largest African countries on HackerDNA - it's the biggest in North Africa by a comfortable margin, with more registered players than Algeria, Tunisia and Egypt combined within the Maghreb. The Moroccan community grew rapidly between 2022 and 2024, fed by a wave of new bug bounty hunters and university CTF teams.

The francophone bug bounty bridge

Morocco sits at a unique intersection on HackerDNA: officially trilingual (Arabic, French, Berber), with English as the working language of most international security research. That means Moroccan players have a built-in advantage when collaborating with both the French-speaking European bug bounty community and the global English-language one. Many Moroccan top-50 accounts on HackerDNA also appear on YesWeHack and Intigriti - the two biggest francophone bug bounty platforms - where Moroccan researchers have been climbing the leaderboards for several years.

Where Moroccan players win

Moroccan HackerDNA players over-index on web exploitation and OSINT relative to the global average - the same areas that drive most of the action on European bug bounty programs. The Moroccan top 20 also has an unusually balanced gender ratio compared to most other top-25 national boards, reflecting a younger, university-driven pool.

How to climb Morocco's leaderboard

Two to three lab solves per week plus an accepted writeup on each is enough to break into Morocco's top 100 from a fresh account in a couple of months. Web is the fastest entry category. The writeup bonus stacks on the solve XP and roughly doubles your effective XP rate, which is why most of the Moroccan top 50 publishes regularly.
