KruKnight (3900 XP), theHashira (1600 XP) and JunggleOrg (1450 XP) are Egypt's current top three on HackerDNA. The Egyptian board has been one of the fastest-growing in the region over the last year, and positions inside the top 30 move constantly.
Egypt trails only Morocco in the North African standings and is ahead of every other country in the sub-region. Cairo is the unambiguous centre of gravity, with Alexandria and Giza adding meaningful clusters. The Egyptian community has grown rapidly alongside the country's broader digital economy push and the expansion of local fintech and e-commerce.
More than almost any other country on the platform, Egypt's top players are shaped by the bug bounty economy. A growing cohort of Egyptian hunters is active on HackerOne and Bugcrowd, and the skill set they build there - web exploitation, authentication bypasses, IDOR chains, SSRF - is exactly what gets rewarded on HackerDNA's web track. The Egyptian top 20 over-indexes heavily on web challenges relative to the platform average.
Three universities supply most of the academic pipeline: Cairo University, Ain Shams University and the American University in Cairo. AUC in particular has been a common starting point for Egyptian players who later move into professional consulting or bug hunting. EG-CERT, Egypt's national CERT, provides the backbone for the country's incident response ecosystem.
The Egyptian board is unusually welcoming to new players because the community is still expanding. A focused beginner can break into the top 50 within weeks by grinding the web track - which is both where the national meta sits and where the easiest early XP lives. After that, branching into forensics and OSINT is the natural progression.
KruKnight holds Egypt #1 with 3900 XP, followed by theHashira (1600) and JunggleOrg (1450).
175 Egyptian players are currently ranked, making Egypt one of the two largest North African national pools on the platform.
A large and growing share of Egyptian players come from the bug bounty community on HackerOne and Bugcrowd, where web-focused skills dominate.
Cairo University, Ain Shams University and the American University in Cairo (AUC) are the main academic feeders.
Within a few focused weeks of daily practice on the web track, which is where the national community is strongest.
